Made in collaboration between TakaraTomy and Shogukukan, "Complete Transformation Doraemon" (完全変形ドラえもん) transforms into his own time machine. His articulation is limited to ball-jointed shoulders, and he is something of a shellformer, with neither mode contributing many parts to the other, and with kibble plainly visible in both forms. In fact, his kibble backpack is designed to be completely detached from his body, and a plug is included to fill the gap in his back if you choose to do so. The plug can be stored in the backpack when not in use.

The toy includes a cardboard stand for the time machine mode which also emulates a time-travelling effect. Additionally, a myriad of printed materials are included as well; a full-color instruction booklet, a "Robot Index Book" which catalogs every robot that appears in Doraemon, a diorama to display with the toy, and additional Doraemon art cards.

While not explicitly released under the Transformers brand, packaging and product descriptions for the figure say "Powered by TRANSFORMERS".
