Insecticon Bruisers are Decepticon Insecticons from the Fall of Cybertron portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Insecticon Bruisers are the largest and toughest of the Insecticons. Shockwave created the Bruisers through experimenting on the Insecticons, the resulting specimen has strength even rivaling that of his most successful experiments. Only one Bruiser typically accompanies an Insecticon swarm. Some have appeared naturally as well, bringing into question whether they were created by Shockwave entirely or if he enhanced an existing species of Insecticon.
