Graham Nolan (born March 12, 1962) is a comic artist and writer. After studying at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, he spend some time working in advertising before getting his first work with D.C. Comics, writing, penciling and inking the story "The Rest is...Herstory" in Talent Showcase #16. This led to more comics work, such as that he did on Transformers, Power of the Atom, Hawkworld, and Detective Comics. In the early 90s, he co-created the Batman villain Bane with Chuck Dixon and Doug Moench. In the late 90s, disillusioned with the modern comic industry having abandoned younger readers, he created and self-published the comic Monster Island, intended to be all-ages accessible. From 2000-2013 he was the main artist on the syndicated comic strip Rex Morgan, M.D., after which it was picked up by "DIS-Integrated Circuits!" artist Mike Manley.
Nolan happened to drive a Volkswagen Beetle during his tenure at Marvel and used it as a model for Bumblebee's vehicle mode in the issue he penciled.
