| This article is about the Marvel UK artist. For other people called "Will", see Bill (disambiguation). For other people called "Simpson", see Simpson (disambiguation). |
Will Simpson is a Northern Irish comic book artist who has illustrated comics for such industry heavyweights as DC Comics, 2000AD and Marvel Comics, including such characters as Batman, Judge Dredd and John Constantine of Hellblazer. He has been credited as Northern Ireland's first professional comic artist. [1]
One of the earlier interior artists on the UK Transformers title, Simpson's rendition of the characters started out closer to the toys and slowly evolved towards the Marvel US/animation model style as the series progressed. He contributed to a number of UK stories including the memorable Target: 2006.
In the 2000s, he went on to work as a storyboard artist and would serve as a storyboard & concept artist for Game of Thrones. [2]
