Transformers New Legends (トランスフォーマー ニューレジェンズ Toransufōmā Nyū Rejenzu) is a 2026 TakaraTomy toyline.
The line is styled as a 10-plus years later nostalgia play after the fan-favorite (in Japan anyway) 2014-2019 Transformers Legends franchise, though whether New Legends will live up to the mammoth size of its namesake or maintain the more conservative scope of its immediate contemporaries like Dramatic Capture Series remains to be seen.
Fiction
About a month after New Legends' unveiling, TakaraTomy released a one-page online comic by Hayato Sakamoto, writer-artist of the original Transformers Legends gag comic, checking in with that series' chibi critter protagonists to kick off the line.
The following day, TakaraTomy released an 18-page comic story reviving the previously Masterpiece-affiliated End of G1 Universe series (again by helmed by Sakamoto, now with the larger creative team and more dramatic bent that have characterized his 2020s ouvre) starring the line's first figure, followed by a second 24-page comic two months later featuring the line's second offering.
