Red Alert is an <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Autobot" title="Autobot">Autobot</a> from the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Animated" class="mw-redirect" title="Animated">Animated</a> <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Continuity_family" title="Continuity family">continuity family</a>.

However, the enviable level of her skill more than compensates for her gruff demeanor. She's replaced her left hand with an apparatus that can scan patients and emit various hard-light surgical tools. She serves as a field medic under <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Rodimus_Prime_%28Animated%29" title="Rodimus Prime (Animated)">Rodimus Prime</a>'s command.

Her services were called into action when Hot Shot was hit by <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Strika_%28Animated%29" title="Strika (Animated)">Strika</a>. His leg was badly damaged and she told him it would have to be amputated, despite his protests. Her bedside manner didn't help when she told Hot Shot that a new one would be delivered in six to eight deca-cycles. Before the leg could be amputated, she was captured, swallowed, coated in explosive goo, and spit back out by <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Spittor_%28Animated%29" title="Spittor (Animated)">Spittor</a>. • Red Alert was originally intended to be part of the core cast in the early development of <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers_Animated_%28franchise%29" title="Transformers Animated (franchise)">Animated</a>, but she was later replaced with <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Ratchet_%28Animated%29" title="Ratchet (Animated)">Ratchet</a>, what with that whole <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers_%282007%29" title="Transformers (2007)">giant live-action movie thing</a> <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Ratchet_%28Movie%29" title="Ratchet (Movie)">having a Ratchet too</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-0" title="">[1]</a></sup> Her final design was based in part on a preliminary design by <a href="http://tfwiki.net/w2/index.php?title=Eric_Canete&action=edit" class="new" title="Eric Canete">Eric Canete</a> from that phase of development, as was the choice of her gender.<sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1" title="">[2]</a></sup>

such as an intake grill forming a collar, and what appears to be a bumper, headlamps and a car radiator grill on her chest, as well as the latter's emotive isolation and skill for her personality. And don't forget the tool hand!
