David Wise is an American televison animation writer. He is perhaps best known as the head writer for the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, where he wrote over one hundred episodes. He was also the single most prolific writer for the Generation 1 cartoon series, penning fifteen episodes.
He tended to recycle many of his script concepts for other shows. Ninja Turtles and The Real Ghostbusters, for example, both received their own version of "Kremzeek!"; the Ninja Turtles episode "Corporate Raiders from Dimension X" directly parallels "Auto-Bop".
