View-Master was an American corporation that specialized in the production of stereoscopic images (in other words, a simple 3-D viewer and accompanying photos). Currently a subsidiary of Fisher-Price, itself a subsidiary of Mattel, Hasbro's chief rival in the toy business, View-Master used to be an independent company and a Hasbro licensee.
Merchandise
Generation 1
- Gift Set (1985)
- This set included a standard View-Master reel viewer and a set of three 3D reels in a special Transformers-themed package.
- Reels (1985)
- A set of three View-Master reels that told a Transformers story. These were the same reels that were available with the gift set above.
- Show-Beam Cartridge (1985)
- A cartridge designed for use with View-Master's "Show-Beam" projector device (a flashlight that could project images onto walls, etc.). This cartridge included a Transformers story and was also available in a special gift pack with a regular Show-Beam device and a Transformers sticker on the package.
Trivia
