When creating detailed write-ups, it is important to consult the original source material and document which material you're referring to if it is not obvious.
Sections of articles needing such citation can be marked using the {{fact}} template.[citation needed]
If we wanted vaguely worded, error-filled generalizations about how people remember things being, we'd go to Wikipedia.
