The Black Pyramid was a Matrix Chamber of unknown origin, located off the coast of Japan near Metro City. The Predacons tapped a power cable to obtain the energy needed to activate the pyramid, however after the Autobots were drawn to the area, Megatron destroyed the pyramid rather than let it fall into their hands.
