Leonard Nimoy (March 26, 1931-) is an American actor and director. He provided the voice of Galvatron in The Transformers: The Movie.

Oh, and apparently he also played an alien on some old sci-fi show, alongside fellow Transformers voice actor George Takei.

Nimoy is married to Susan Bay, a relative of director Michael Bay, and apparently it was due to their considerable donations to Griffith Observatory that Michael was allowed to film parts of Transformers there.^[1]
Nimoy guest starred in the first-season finale of Fringe, which was created, executive-produced and written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
According to Orci, he was at one point considered for the role of The Fallen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.^[2]
