Pioneer is an electronics and multimedia corporation. They are the company which released the laserdisks and DVDs of the original Transformers cartoon series in Japan.
They have released complete box sets of:
- Fight! Super Robot Life Transformer (broken into two boxes for the DVD release)
- The Transformers: The Movie
- Transformers: 2010
- Headmasters
- Super-God Masterforce
- Victory
- Zone
Each box set came with additional special features, such as toy commercials and the occasional OVA or television special (the Super Robot Life box set came with the complete Scramble City OVA as well as the original Exciting Transformer! TV special). Each set also included a booklet containing character models, bios and a trivia guide written by Hirofumi Ichikawa.
