Whip

Transformers sometimes use whips as melee weapons or as 'motivational tools'.

Fiction

Generation 1 cartoon

• Cloudburst was packaged with a lightning whip, usable only by his Pretender shell and not by his inner robot.

Victory

• The electromagnetic nunchaku favored by the Breastforce could be used as whips.

Beast Wars

• Transmetal Cheetor is armed with a whip.
• Transmetal Rattrap as well.
• Transmetal Packrat, being a repurposed version of a redecoed Tramsmetal Rattrap toy is also armed with a whip.
• Botcon exclusive Transmetal Tigatron is a repaint of Ravage, which is itself a retool of Transmetal Cheetor, so he is armed with a whip as well.
• Optimus Minor's beast mode tail becomes a whip similar in design to Rattrap's.
• Stinkbomb's beast mode tail becomes a head mounted whip-claw.
• Transmetal 2 Dinobot's beast mode tail, although never used in the show converts into a massive whip for his robot mode.

Beast Wars II

• Lio Convoy's Universe 2008 toy is a retool and redeco of Cybertron Leobreaker. His Beast Wars II figure was never armed with a whip but this new mold gave him a handy melee weapon. Much needed since he lost all of his guns.

Armada

Armada used several Beast Wars molds and added Minicon ports to them, which resulted in several characters being armed with whips.

• Predacon, being a retool of Beast Wars Transmetal Megatron is also armed with a whip/claw/arm cannon.
• Cheetor is still armed with a whip.

Beast Wars Neo

• Cohrada's tail becomes a whip in robot mode.
• Sling's best mode tail also becomes a whip.

Cybertron

• Overhaul's tail turns into a claw-whip in robot mode.

Dinobots

• Rapticon (Velociraptor) is a technorganic Velociraptor, a redeco of Transmetal 2 Dinobot. He is armed with a whip that is just as big as the original mold's.

Transformers Animated

• Optimus Prime can fire bola whips from his forearms to entangle his opponent's legs.
• On the show, Lockdown has been shown to use a lightning whip.

Revenge of the Fallen

• Jolt is armed with two Electro whips.
