Bumblebee (disambiguation)

The name Bumblebee can refer to several different characters:

• 1984 — Bumblebee, the yellow kid-appeal character from Generation 1. For a while he was known as Goldbug before going back to Bumblebee. For toys of this character, see Bumblebee (G1)/toys.

• 2007 — Bumblebee, the yellow one-man franchise kid-appeal character from the 2007 film. For toys of this character, see Bumblebee (Movie)/toys.

• 2007 — Bumblebee, the yellow kid-appeal character from Transformers Animated.

• 2008 — Bumblebee, later known as Goldbug, the evil Autobot spy/Seeker commander from Shattered Glass. Partially yellow, definitely not kid-appeal.

• 2010 — Transformers: Bumblebee, an IDW comic mini-series set in the IDW Generation 1 continuity.

"Bumblebee" (French: Bourdon) is also the Quebecois French name for Waspinator's original toy.

Bumblebee should not be confused with:

• Goldbug, the one Goldbug who was never Bumblebee.

• Bumper, the yellow nobody who is not Bumblebee and is definitely not...

• Cliffjumper, a separate character who is frequently made from Bumblebee redecos. He is sometimes, but usually not, yellow.

• Hubcap, a yellow retool of Cliffjumper.

• Bug Bite, Glyph, Tap-Out, Carrera and Volks, who are redecos/retools of Generation 1 Bumblebee or Cliffjumper. None are yellow, kid-appeal may vary.

• Cheetor, the yellow kid-appeal character from Beast Wars.

• Hot Shot, the yellow kid-appeal character from the Unicron Trilogy.

• Ironhide, despite what Megatron thinks. He's not even yellow!

• Captain Fanzone's car, which looks a heck of a lot like Transformers Animated Bumblebee. It is yellow.

• Wasp, the green character with Bumblebee's stingers, Body-type and alt modes. Not very kid appeal.

• Tap-Out, Glyph, Freeway, Searchlight, Hubcap, Sedan, Carrera, Furao and Bumper, the other Transformers Animated characters with Bumblebee's Body-type. Some are yellowish.

• BB, whose name probably doesn't stand for the abbreviation of "Bumblebee". He is not yellow, either.

• The Wireless Automated Sales Person (or WASP for short), the Shattered Glass autobot whose appearance is based on the Animated Elite Guard Bumblebee toy.
