- Megatron X is a character from the Transformers Beast Wars: Transmetals portion of the Beast Era continuity family.

Who or what is Megatron X? Nobody knows. All that's known about him is that he possesses the likeness of Megatron's Transmetal body, except he's entirely shiny and has dragon wings. He also has an echoing, mechanized laugh.

Notes
- Regardless of what difficulty the game is set to up until the player's encounter with Megatron X, the difficulty level when battling with Megatron X is automatically set to "Very Hard".
- There is a way to play as Megatron X in the game, but not one that is really an option for North American home players. In the Japanese version of the game, Megatron X can be accessed by first unlocking Megatron's "Player 3" colorscheme in "Metals Mode" ("Arcade Mode" in the US game), and then... making sure Duel Fight Transformers Beast Wars: Beast Warriors' Strongest Decisive Battle is inserted into the Nintendo 64 Transfer Pak. Oh well...[1]
