Dreamwave Energon comics
The Terrorcons attacked Alterenergy's exploratory excavation/drilling operation site located in Western Australia. As fate would have it, Kicker was stationed there at that time. He tried to flee the area on his bike, but was pursued by Battle Ravage to a camp of environmentalist-protesters nearby, where the rough terrain there caused him to fall off his bike. Seeing he wasn't getting up, one of the protesters, Alexis, took the risk of saving him by shooting a flare in the Transformer's face and escaping with him on his bike.
