Lamphead is a failed Decepticon from the Robo-Capers portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

With the makings of a great Decepticon warrior, Lamphead transforms into a lamp-post.

Lamphead was active on Earth, but was taken out of action when he short-circuited after a dog urinated on him. Robo-Capers issue 88

Lamphead is not the first Decepticon with a lamp-post alt-mode. That disctinction, of course, goes to cartoon Soundwave.
In the Movieverse at least, such incidents are not always fatal.
