Mount Asama is a mountain from the Victory cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Often misspoken by newscasters as "Mount Abama."

Mount Asama is an active volcano located in Japan. Due to the large amount of activity in the area, it's also the location of Japan's largest geothermal power plant, which is computerized and fully autonomous.

The Multiforce intercepted a coded message suggesting that the Decepticons were going to mount an attack on the geothermal plant at Mount Asama. Victory Leo hurried there with Holi and Jean, to find the Breastforce about to loot the place. While Victory Leo fought with Leozack and Jarugar outside, Holi and Jean went inside to try to stop the rest of the Decepticons from stealing the precious energy.

The Micromaster and his human companion became trapped as the power plant's turbines failed, endangering their lives. Jean's cries reached Victory Leo and he stormed into the plant, freeing the pair. It's not clear whether the Decepticons got away with any of the energy in the end, but the power plant was in dire need of repair. Awaken! Victory Leo
