- Pothole was to have been an Autobot from the Generation 2 portion of the Generation 1 continuity.

- From his packaging mock-up, "Pothole" appears to be a yellow and blue version of Power Master Ironhide. However, his listed subgroup, "Superfast Wheels", was actually an early working name for the Go-Bots.
