Marvel Comics continuity

Decepticon warrior stationed in Darkmount, Crosscut died when he was commanded by Decepticon Warlord Straxus to cross the new Space Bridge... and promptly exploded due to a faulty fuel line making the Bridge unstable. His remains were then ordered to be swept up by another luckless (unnamed) soldier, who also went ker-flooey. Shrapnel was spared having to go get both of them when he reported on the faulty line and Straxus stopped sending Decepticons to their trans-dimensional death.
Blaster later would use this information to defeat Straxus. The Bridge to Nowhere!

Long ago, Crosscut was part of Squadron X, a team of Decepticons which served as a brutal counterpart to the Autobots' Wreckers. Their rivalry came to a head on Pova, but after being dispatched in an aerial battle, he and the rest of Squadron X were rounded up in a containment unit and put in inhibitor harnesses.
According to Fisitron's "Wreckers: Declassified" datalogs, Crosscut and the other members of Squadron X were able to somehow escape their harnesses, forcing the Wreckers to execute rather than imprison them. However, this may not be the full story. Last Stand of the Wreckers issue 4
