Transformer references
- Several characters are name-dropped or described in the story, but never seen; Thunderblast, Leonicus, Scorpius, Thunder Clash, Landshark, Traachon, and Falcon. The members of the Covenant are depicted as constellations, and a legend of Leonicus fighting an Ice Demon is referred to.
- Both versions of G2 Drench are made into the same character here, as the Decepticon ends up defecting to the Elite Guard with a retrofit and a new paint job.
