Defensor is formed by the Protectobots. He was built to defend Tagan Heights from Devastator, though the two's battles generally wrecked the area. Oops.

The Wreckers apparently had to bide time for Autobot scientists to create Defensor. Later, two Devastators destroyed the facility he was created in while chasing two Mini-Con saboteurs. Transformers: Exodus
