Heavy Soldier

Heavy Soldiers are a body-type from the War for Cybertron portion of the Transformers: Prime continuity family.

What the Brutes do with melee, Heavy Soldiers do with big fragging guns. Standing a few feet taller than the average Transformer, Heavy Soldiers roam the battlefield carrying their ion displacers. However, they roam slowly, due to the massive size of their guns. This leaves them vulnerable to attack. Just don't try to take them head on—you may be left with a few bullet holes in your chassis. When they die, they leave behind their guns, so grab 'em fast!

Heavy soldiers were first seen among the ranks of Trypticon Station's Neutral defense force as a last resort against Megatron's attack to steal the Dark Energon.

Later, two Autobot Heavy soldiers were sent to neutralize Megatron, Soundwave and Breakdown as they attempted to escape the Stellar Galleries on their mission to find the Omega Key. Megatron's strike force and Brawl's Decepticon troops were assaulted again by multiple Autobot Heavy soldiers in their gun emplacement in front of Zeta Prime's Vaults. By this time, Brawl's troops also had their own Heavy Soldier, but he was killed (along with the rest of the troops) during the advance on the Anti-air guns.

Megatron and co. were set upon by an Autobot Heavy Soldier again just after escaping Omega Supreme's initial attack. Barely evading Omega Supreme's tractor beam, Megatron's strike team fought off another Autobot Heavy soldier at a fortified Autobot stronghold. Searching for a way to reach the surface of Iacon, Megatron and his team fought against yet another Autobot Heavy soldier in a station containing a bridge extension switch. Two Autobot Heavy soldiers were present at the Autobot Ion Turret emplacement on the surface of Iacon city, but were defeated by Megatron's, Breakdown's, and Soundwave's surprise attack on the stronghold. Notes

• Like most Decepticon troops, the Decepticon Heavies vaguely resemble Cobra Battle Android Troopers (especially their faceplates) while Autobot Heavy Soldiers bear a certain resemblance to Roadbuster, the gun-loving Wrecker (which is fitting, really).
