Transformers United is a Japanese TakaraTomy toyline comprising molds from Hasbro's Classics, 2010 Transformers, and Generations toylines. Much like TakaraTomy's release of the Transformers Animated toyline, these Japanese versions have glossy metallic paint jobs. As a continuation of a marketing strategy introduced during the 2007 live-action movie toyline, most of the characters retain their American names.
