Is the silhouette really necessary for the all black toy?

Soundblaster, also known as Logos Prime (ロゴスプライム, ro-go-su-pu-ra-i-mu), is an "ancient" Transformer equal with Vector Prime and possessing extraordinary power over space and time. He can take any name and form that he chooses. Soundblaster is partnered with the bird-bot Hell Buzzsaw, who he uses to speak through to mere mortals.

Beast Wars Reborn

After the Great Reformatting, Logos Prime abducted Optimus Primal and Megatron onto his amazing starship, though they had lost their memories. After a series of confusing escapades between the two, Logos Prime introduced himself as Soundblaster. He offered his powers over space and time to Megatron, hoping that he'd be his successor. But Vector Prime appeared and interrupted. The two old Transformers recognized each other as Ancients, and a battle was likely imminent... Master of the Game

Soundblaster is a redeco of the Cybertron Soundwave toy, transforming into a Cybertronic stealth bomber. He comes with three hexagonal prism "bombs"; one converts into his partner Hell Buzzsaw, the other two unfold into non-firing blaster weapons. Any one of these "bombs" can be stored in his robot-mode chest, which opens by plugging a Cyber Planet Key into him. The other two store in indents on the underside of his wings. He comes with a silver-bordered Planet X style Cyber Planet Key.

He was only available as a Toy's Dream Project exclusive.

This mold was also used to make the 2008 Universe-series version of Blaster.

Notes

• Though Soundblaster's box was new, he came with Soundwave's instructions.
• As of this writing, only two chapters of the Beast Wars Reborn text story have been translated into English, so we are not currently aware if Logos Prime is referred to by any name other than "Soundblaster" in the story. His "Logos Prime" name is mentioned in descriptions of the Beast Wars Reborn story in the 50th Kiss Players radio drama episode and the 2007 timeline published in the Kiss Players/15 Go! Go! Compilation'. And yes, he's a named Prime even in Japanese, not a Convoy.
• Given Logos Prime's incredible powers over space and time, his status as an "Ancient" and "one of [Vector Prime's] own", and his very name, Beast Wars Reborn author Hirofumi Ichikawa seems to have strongly intended for him to be one the of thirteen original Transformers. This would be further supported by a silhouetted image of the thirteen produced by Yuji Kaida for TakaraTomy's World of the Transformers web site (written by Ichikawa), which included a shadowed figure closely resembling Logos Prime. However, a recent non-committal Hasbro Q&A answer leaves it questionable whether or not the company will be including him in their definitive canonical list of thirteen.
