- Operation Eternity is a plan from the Beast Era of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Operation Eternity is a contingency plan developed as a measure of last resort by Optimus Primal and Rhinox. If the situation got so bad that the Ark and therefore all of future history was in jeopardy, the Maximals would attempt to move the Ark out of harm's way.

After Megatron raised the Nemesis from the depths of the ocean, Optimus Primal contacted the Ark to tell Rhinox to initiate Operation Eternity. The Maximals packed up their equipment and loaded it into the Ark, but their initial attempt to fire it up failed. With the Nemesis hovering dramatically overhead, they made a second attempt, and managed to almost fire up the engines before the power failed.
Although Operation Eternity had failed, an information download by Dinobot led the Maximals to discover a shuttle aboard the Ark, which Rhinox was able to use to take out Megatron. Nemesis Part 2
