The Initiator s an object of great power from the Energon portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

The Initiator is an ancient relic of some great importance. Alpha Quintesson and Councillor Avalon intend to employ it as a key element in their undisclosed plans for Cybertron, Earth and Unicron. The human Kicker may have a connection to the object.

Avalon kept the Initiator in his care as he and Alpha Quintesson schemed to prepare for its usage. Multiplicity, Pt. 2

Dreamwave went bankrupt before the production of Energon #32, the issue that was to set off the story arc featuring the Initiator. :*(
