- The Freelance Police Legion is an organization from the TransTech continuity.
The Freelance Police Legion is the exclusive law enforcement body of Axiom Nexus's Offworlder government. Because of Axiom Nexus's confusing parallel but distinct TransTech and Offworlder governing bodies, a separate agency was necessary to work alongside the Axiom Nexus Security Administration, who answered to the native TransTech government. The Freelance Police Legion is chartered to patrol the Offworlder regions alongside Security Admin personnel, and have authority that extends beyond the TransTech government, particularly in the lower levels like Zone 8 and the Heap (mostly because the TransTechs can't be bothered with those slums).

Notes
- The name "Freelance Police Legion" is a reference to Sam & Max: Freelance Police comics/cartoons/games. As such, the FPL's badge even has a silhouette of Max's head worked into it.
