The name or term "Hub" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Hub (disambiguation).
Beware of programming manager Liege Maximo.

The Hub, previously known as the Hasbro-Discovery Communications Joint Venture Network, is a new cable television network being developed by the Hasbro-Discovery Communications Joint Venture[1]. It began broadcasting October 10, 2010, replacing the channel formerly known as Discovery Kids.

The Hub is the outlet for the Transformers: Prime, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and G.I. Joe: Renegades cartoons. Its management team is headed up by Margaret Loesch, a veteran of the Transformers brand who worked on the original cartoon, which airs weeknightly on the channel.

Currently, Loesch and The Hub's senior Vice President of advertising sales Brooke Goldstein are negotiating with Hasbro's rival Mattel in an attempt to get the world's biggest toy company to buy advertising spots on the Hasbro-owned network.[2]

Hub broadcasts of the original cartoon are placed in the "Huboom" block. One of the host characters from the block, Fax Machine, is a fax machine who believes, without any demonstrable ability, that he is a Transformer, who is in an "Office-Bot" subgrouping of the Autobots. Fax Machine has an grey Autobot sigil on his handset.
