- The Detention Banks are a penitentiary facility from the Dreamwave portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Located in Quadrant Epsilon, the Detention Banks holds various individuals deemed to dangerous to walk around locked away. The inmates are reduced to protoform state to keep them handleable.
It has absolutely lousy security.

Dreamwave Generation One continuity
Shockwave needed a diversion for Ultra Magnus, so he sent Frenzy and Rumble to the Detention Banks to reactivate the Stunticons/Menasor. Their orders were to go undetected, which they pulled off without much effort until Starscream made his presence known to them. Cold War Having a few plans of his own, he forced the two Mini-Cassettes to assist him in freeing Ratbat Countdown to Extinction and the Combaticons.
