- The Autobot Rebellion is an event from the cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The Autobot Rebellion is the point in time when the ancestors of the Autobots rose up against their Quintesson masters and forced them off the planet Cybertron.
Fiction
The Transformers cartoon
Masterminded by A3, the Rebellion sought to overthrow the Quintessons and free the Cybertronians from their life of slavery. However, the Quintessons were protected by their Dark Guardian robots that sought to protect their overlords from harm and enforced their will. A3 managed to find a means to deactivate the machines through the use of the Coda Remote which left the Quintessons helpless during the resulting rebellion.
Millions of years later, the Quintessons sought to stop the Autobot Rebellion by using a Time Window to abduct A3 before the uprising occurred. However, the intervention of the Autobots stopped the Quintesson plan from coming to fruition. Forever Is a Long Time Coming
