Inferno Creatures are aliens from the Animorphs continuity.

The twisted, terryfing creature that is Visser Three can make his outwards appearance match his inner-monstrosity by becoming an Inferno Creature! A morph acquired by the leader of the Yeerk invasion of Earth after scouring the universe for monsters unlike anything ever been seen before on the humans' home world, this fire-breathing alien appears to be Visser Three's preferred morph. Other than being the weapon of choice for Visser Three, little is known about the species as a whole, aside that they possess "Fire Fangs" which can be fired as projectiles from their palms.

They are also referred to as Inferno Beasts.

Toys

Animorphs

  • Visser Three/Inferno Creature (Mega, 1999)
    • Accessories: Missile
File:Visser Three Mega Toy.jpg
Visser Three's first toy transforms from an Andalite (sort of an alien centaur-thing) into an "Inferno Creature" (a somewhat humanoid alien monster). The Inferno Creature's left hand, which becomes the Andalite's left hind leg, fires a Fire Fangs missile. The right hand can be closed by pressing a lever on the rear of the right forearm. He has no transitional third mode.

  • Visser Three (Ultra, 1999)
    • Accessories: 2 missiles/claws
Visser Three's second toy keeps the two modes of his original toy (more or less) and adds a third mode, a Hork-Bajir (sort of an alien quadrupedal-dinosaur-thing), which fires a missile from each hand.

Notes

  • Oddly, concept art for Visser Three's Mega class toy reveals that at some point, it was planned for the Inferno Beast to be mostly blue, which would have certainly resulted in a more book-accurate color scheme for Visser Three's Andalite mode, and the creature would have also possessed a tail.
