N.R.G. is an American metal band fronted by Les Brown on lead vocals, with Lee Mangano on drums, Pat Lynch on bass and Ernie Burns, a.k.a. Ernie Petragelo, on guitar. They provided the track "Instruments of Destruction" on the The Transformers: The Movie soundtrack.
...the Instruments of Destruction era for the band was one our most fulfilling times in our musical careers we are very proud to have had a part in the animated classic Transformers:The Movie... no if's and's or but's!Les Brown on the band's contribution to the movie.
Convention appearances
- BotCon 2001 - Petragelo attended as an exhibitor, selling a version of "Instruments of Destruction" with more explicit and/or baffling lyrics.
- BotCon 2007 - Petragelo was listed as a convention guest, but was incorrectly informed by BotCon staff for which day he was to turn up. He turned up on pre-registration day and spent several hours chatting to fans and trying to track down Brian Savage.
