I had heard that Energon featured the Combiners as ancient Deceptions that likely predate Megatron. I havn't seen it myself but just throwing it out there. Also G1 Cartoon vs. Comic bots should likely get seperate entries, since there's the whole "military hardware" lineage to mention for the toon, and the "Leige Maximo" as Megatron's ancestor, for the comic.
