Codder and Garnak are members of the same orc-like species who appeared briefly in Spotlight: Drift.
Unnamed in this issue, the monster that bedevils our cast is the Chaosteros, last seen—where else?—in Spotlight: Wheelie.
The ship Wheelie has taken up residence in is a Quintesson Cruiser, furthering the planet's mysterious connection to the five-faced aliens which Spotlight: Wheelie hinted at.
No mention is made of Wheelie's alien buddy Varta, last seen in Spotlight: Wheelie, although a few years seem to have passed since the events of the spotlight, so there may be an in-story reason for his absence.
