As part of a plot to create energon out of electrical energy, Scorponok had Skullgrin guard a stormmaker station. The stormmaker station formed a thunderstorm whose entire electrical potential was to be pulled into a electrostator installed atop the Empire State Building by Iguanus.
The stormmaker station was found by the Autobot Off Road Patrol, who noticed the large Pretenders nearby. The Micromasters managed to incapacitate Skullgrin and destroy the stormmaker, but the thunderstorm continued regardless. King Con!
