The temple on Rotan was one of several locations where the Dead Universe Transformers planted a Nega-Core in preparation for the Expansion. They assigned the mind-controlled Monstructor to guard it. Spotlight: Doubledealer As the Autobots eventually made their moves to put a stop to the Expansion, Arcee formed an alliance with Banzaitron and his men to confront Monstructor. During the battle, Ultra Magnus and Warpath used the Dead Universe's space bridge technology to reach Rotan's Nega-Core and remove it. Spotlight: Sideswipe
