Autobot Command HQ

Autobot Command HQ is an Autobot base from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

During the war against the Mini-Con-hunting Decepticons, Autobot Command HQ serves as the main headquarters of the Autobots on Cybertron. It's a large building with several defensive turrets, and is where Optimus Prime, Hot Shot, Red Alert and Smokescreen are stationed.

Early in the war, Autobot Command HQ was targeted by the Mini-Con Dualor for his plan to end the Decepticon tyranny by destroying Megatron. The plan was to leak false information to the Decepticons, tricking them into believing that the Autobots were safeguarding Mini-Cons at their headquarters, thus prompting a Decepticon attack on the building. In the meantime, Dualor and his Destruction Team would line Autobot Command HQ with magno-web charges, and once Megatron entered the building, they would detonate the explosives, killing him.

Of course, the destruction of the base would also kill numerous Autobots, but that wasn't really any of Dualor's concern.

The first part of the plan went off without a hitch, as Megatron and four Decepticon battalions attacked Autobot Command HQ, dealing massive damage to it. While Optimus Prime led his soldiers in defending their base, the Destruction Team planted the explosives and prepared for the end. However, Sparkplug, an ally of Dualor who didn't believe in sacrificing the Autobots for the greater good, snuck away and warned Optimus Prime about what was about to happen. Prime immediately had the building evacuated, distracting Megatron from entering. Dualor panicked and activated the explosives anyway, which utterly destroyed Autobot Command HQ, but only managed to knock Megatron over. Counter-Strike!
