Crowbar is a Decepticon Dread from the Dark of the Moon portion of the live-action film series continuity family.

Crowbar is well known as a master of breaking and entering. It doesn't matter if we're talking computer systems, human safes, or enemy compounds he's got the tools and skills needed to get you in. His weapons of choice are "nanotech sentries".

He also gives this wiki a lot of openings to make references to The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra.

After Sentinel Prime was retrieved from Earth's Moon and reactivated, Megatron put into motion the plan that had been waiting in the wings for thousands of years. With Sam Sam Witwicky believing that the Decepticons wished to capture Sentinel and force him to use the control pillar to activate his space bridge, Crankcase, Hatchet and Crowbar were sent to pursue the Autobots. Crowbar closed in on Seymour Simmons' car, transformed, reached in and tossed him into the air behind him as he flipped over a sign, knocking it down and providing a ramp for the other two to drive off of. As Crowbar and Crankcase made their way through the convoy, Hatchet was quickly isolated and disposed of by the smaller autobots. However, despite their best collective efforts, they were unable to retrieve Sentinel. By this time, the Autobots had called for their heavy-hitter, Ironhide, who raced at them in the opposite direction. As they neared an intersection, Dino, Bumblebee and Sam Sam Witwicky quickly escaped, while Ironhide and Sideswipe stayed to finish the two Dreads. Ironhide then drove right into them, stopping them in their tracks. Damaged and leaking fluids, Crankcase and Crowbar transformed, only to be confronted by the two autobots. In an ensuing "Mexican Stand-Off", the remaining Dreads were told to drop their weapons, and be able to "leave with their dignity". They appeared to do so, and the autobots followed suit. However, unbeknownst to the autobots, the two Dreads had produced two barbed spears each on their backs to attack the two autobots. Crowbar was the first to make his move and quickly threw one deep into Ironhide's lower shoulder. Crankcase was next to throw his, however this time, at Sideswipe. Sideswipe, however easily manuevered over the spear and sliced it in two. As he landed, he then kicked Ironhide's weapon to him. The Autobot veteran quickly caught it, turned to Crowbar, who was about to pounce upon him, and blasted half of his face to smithereens. The two autobots proceeded to finish off Crankcase. Part of the second wave of Cyberverse Legion single-pack toys, Crowbar is a Legends-scale figure that transforms into a unmarked version of a Carbon Motors E7 Police car. His left hand is designed to interact with Cyberverse weapons and playsets. He has molded detail around his head that resembles dreadlocks. Due to the armor plating on his knees, his arms can be hard to transform.

Notes

  • The Transformers.com website's Vector Sigma database entry for Crowbar strangely illustrates his nanotech sentries using an image of Roadbuster's Assault Saw weapon.
