Beastbox is one of Soundwave's minions. Appearing to take the form of a gorilla, or other large ape, he tends to attack in a state of extreme rage.

Under the command of Soundwave, Beastbox was a crew member of the Nemesis on its mission to locate a Star Harvester. Together with Rumble, he tried to keep the ship under control after it was damaged in a collision with the Ark, but in the end the crew discarded it in order to pursue the Ark on a smaller ship. Beastbox accompanied Soundwave and other Decepticons as they ambushed Arcee, Elita-One, and Chromia. In the fight, he and Ravage tackled Elita-One, and he bit down on her shoulder. Rising Storm #3 After Elita-One's death, courtesy of Shockwave, Beastbox joined Soundwave; but Chromia attempted suicide by setting off a bomb which caught Beastbox in the blast.
