| This article is about the Generation 1 character. For the Animated character, see Primacron (Animated). |
- Primacron is an
fish-monkeyalien from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Primacron is an absolutely ancient scientist. He's supposedly hyper-intelligent with an infinity of intricate plans nested within plans, but he sometimes over-thinks things to the point of coming off as rather dim.
His major claim to fame is being responsible for building Unicron at the dawn of the galaxy. Thanks for nothing.

Primacron's Assistant claims that they built some of the "primitive" Transformers way back then. As he grew more ambitious, Primacron eventually constructed Unicron, who rebelled against him. Unicron's attack appeared to destroy the assistant and badly injured Primacron.
Primacron was down but not out. Not to be undone by a giant planet-devouring robotic monster, Primacron returned millions of years later to try the whole conquest again. This time, he created the giant energy-siphoning monster Tornedron. The same thing proceeded to happen again and Primacron would have been dead, if not for Grimlock's simple instincts (which somehow told him to reverse the polarity). Grimlock then proceeded to wreck his lab. Call of the Primitives

Scoop used the phrase "Primacron knows". After being captured by a maniac and learning of his plans with Thunderwing, Jetfire said, "Primacron protect us!" Stormbringer #2
This sounds more like a deity than a scientist, which is weird because Jetfire is an atheist and all that, but its not the first time people have worshipped fish monkey's.
Notes
- When first telling their story, the assistant calls him "the being we will refer to as Primacron" and later calls himself "the Primacron's assistant". These seem to suggest that "Primacron" may actually be some sort of title and not this creature's actual name.
- Primacron leaves open large questions about how he relates to previously or later established history. Included among these are which primitives did he build, how Primacron relates to the Quintessons, to Vector Sigma, to his assistant, to the Matrix, and the Primus/Unicron mythos. None of these questions have ever been answered, and hopefully never will.
- Primacron's lab is on the moon Protos, according to Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II.
- Later developments in some continualities have made it sound as Primacron is a Creator Deity of the Multiverse (or Omniverse however many 'verses there are) and the creator of Primus and Unicron (Prima-Primus, Cron-Unicron, coincidence?). Primacron might just be another name for The One, which might be the Transformer name for God, which might be the human name for Primacron which.......
Foreign names
- Japanese: Primacron (プリマクロン Purimakuron)
