William O'Neil started out as a comic letterer, but has since been involved in writing, editing and drawing comics. He was hired by Richard Starkings at Comicraft as their second full-time employee[1] and lettered on titles including Transformers: Generation 2, Gen13, and Stormwatch.[2] In '96, he and John Roshell collaborated on Waste LA. While working as a writer on Chassis for Millennium Comics, O'Neil grew discontent with the conditions he was working under, and it led him to form Hurricane Entertainment with his wife, Jan.[3] At Hurricane, he teamed up with Joshua Dysart to create the comics Violent Messiahs and publish Chassis, as well as writing John Carpenter's Snake Plissken Chronicles.[4] He has also continued to letter on various titles such as The Authority and Planetary, and wrote most of the Top Cow Productions title Fathom.[2]
