Shifters are a Cybertronian sub-species from the Aligned continuity family.

While almost every Cybertronian is capable of changing shape to some degree, Shifters take this to a whole new level. A creature of Cybertronian legend, Shifters are chameleonoids even by Cybertronian standards. They have the abillity to take ANY form that is a match for their size and mass. This extends even to taking on the shape of other robots.

Legend states that they are decended from the trickster of the Thirteen Amalgamous Prime. Usually considered a creature of myth, to those who believe in their existence their rare talent makes them highly prized spies and scouts.
