Wichenstein was part of a group of Army officers who questioned Optimus Prime and Ironhide after a battle at the Nevada Test and Training Range. When General Marcus began passing on news about two meteoroids, Wichenstein questioned whether they should be sharing this information with the two Autobots. When Ironhide became angry, and though General Camden agreed with Wichenstein, General Marcus went on to brief everyone present on the situation. Wichenstein believed that the Decepticons were after the technology at Area 51, but Optimus disagreed. Switching Gears
