After the relatively miniature and foreign Transformers were discovered in Aron's room by his parents, they were taken to the scientist and associated colleagues. After some cursory looks at the robotic beings, the scientist planned to dissect the robots, starting with the Decepticons. Fearing for his Autobot friends, Aron snatched the container they were within and ran out. The scientist, among others, chased after the boy, but were unable to find him before he released the Autobots.
Unattended to in the scientist's office, the Decepticons freed themselves. Child's Play
