Charlie Burns, his son Cody Burns and their Rescue Bots set out on the annual Burns family fishing trip. They hadn't been out for long when they were attacked by a giant robot shark, which struck the boat, causing Heatwave to fall overboard. After consulting with Doc Greene, Burns took the boat out again with the Rescue Bots, planning to use an electro-magnetic lure to trap the shark in a cove.
