The Pearl of India is a freighter used by NEST to transport personnel around by sea. It weighs 13000 tons and can reach 12 knots – 12 and a half given good conditions.
Fiction

[edit]The Pearl of India berthed in Sevastopol, Ukraine, where it picked up Captain Lennox, Master Sergeant Epps and Petr Andronov. The ship headed on toward Diego Garcia, however while passing through the Gulf of Aden, it was boarded by Erasto Khalfani and his band of Somali pirates. While his men began relieving the crew of their possessions, Erasto started eying up the large black SUV on the ship's deck. He was completely unprepared for the SUV to transform into a large robot and aim a plasma cannon at him. Erasto and his men vacated the ship very quickly, and it continued on to Diego Garcia without further incident. The Veiled Threat
