Colombia is a South American country characterized by having forests. Somewhere in Central Colombia is Laguna de Guatavita, at the bottom of which lies El Dorado.

Seeking El Dorado because he wanted to use the gold to wreck the World economy, Soundwave headed for Colombia with the Tanto Gang. Once they'd done his work and uncovered the lost city at the bottom of the lake, he turned on them, only for Optimus Prime and Ratchet to arrive and attack him.
