The General is a human military general (shocker) who's a big fan of having giant robots protecting your country, and the use of practical footwear.

After the General and his men assisted the Autobots in a decisive victory over the Decepticons in the middle of the city, the General was happy to take charge of the defeated forces. While he was talking with Optimus Prime, they were approached by Spike Witwicky, whom the General was startled to note was wearing bright yellow boots. After loudly pointing out that there weren't any oil rigs around to work on, so wearing yellow boots was pointless, the General went back to congratulating Prime and was promptly blasted mid-speech by a Martian disintegration ray.
