- Nova Point is a building on Cybertron from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Nova Point, also known as Nova Peak, is a chromium and tungsten edifice in Iacon towering high above the rest of Cybertron's landscape. What exactly it is used for is unstated, but it probably is a building of political importance. It has an observation bay that provides a great view on both Cybertron below and the stars above.
It's apparently a good place to go if you're wishy-washy and depressed.

Another Time & Place

Optimus Prime was angsting about the future at the observation bay when Prowl approached him with information that the Dinobots had left Cybertron and were heading for Hydrus Four. Confirmed in his worries, Optimus Prime reacted with apathy, not ready yet to acknowledge what trouble lay ahead. Prowl reminded him the threat the remaining Decepticons could pose in these events, then angrily departed to leave a seemingly passive Optimus to his stargazing. Another Time & Place
Regeneration One
Template:Noterg1 Optimus Prime was angsting about the future at the observation bay when Kup and Ultra Magnus approached him with information that after 21 years of apparent peace the Decepticons had started to agitate for violence again. When asked for permission to send in the Wreckers to neutralize this threat, Optimus Prime reacted with apathy, not ready yet to acknowledge what trouble lay ahead. His subordinates tried to get him to reconsider, but Prime then instructed them to depart. Then Soundwave interrupted the seemingly passive Optimus' stargazing by seizing control of an orbital defense platform and using it to kill the Last Autobot. Counterpoint
IDW Generation 1 continuity
During a protest against the Decepticon Registration Act, one Decepticon complained that the Senate was blaming "every terrorist attack this side of Nova Peak" on them. Patternism Megatron stood atop Nova Peak on Declaration Day, presumably making a grandiose speech to rally the Decepticon forces to war. Rules of Disengagement
Notes
- It is no coincidence that the two scenes featuring Optimus at Nova Point are very similar, since they were both written by Simon Furman whose task with the later storyline was effectively to replace the former.
